Boeing announces orders and commitments for 182 aircraft at Farnborough 2016

Boeing announced (14-Jul-2016) its orders and commitments during the 2016 Farnborough International Airshow for a total of 182 commercial aircraft, valued at USD26.8 billion at list prices. Boeing has booked 321 net orders for the year to date. Customers also announced commercial services agreements valued at multiple billion dollars over the life of the contracts, including the largest commercial services order in Boeing history. Orders include:

  • Xiamen Airlines: Commitment for 30 737 MAX 200, valued at USD3.4 billion;
  • Donghai Airlines: Commitment for 25 737 MAX 8 and five 787-9s, valued at USD4.1 billion;
  • Standard Chartered Bank: Identified as customer for 10 previously announced 737-800, valued at USD960 million;
  • TUI Group: Order for 10 737 MAX 8s and one 787-9, valued at USD1.4 billion;
  • Air Lease Corporation: Order for three 737 MAX 8s and identified as customer for another three 737 MAX 8s, valued at USD660 million;
  • Kunming Airlines: Commitment for ten 737 MAX 7s, valued at USD902 million;
  • Unidentified Chinese customer: Commitment for ten 737 family aircraft - a mix of 737 MAX and 737 NG - valued at USD3.3 billion;
  • Volga-Dnepr Group: Agreement for 20 747-8 Freighters, valued at USD7.6 billion;
  • EGYPTAIR: Order for nine 737-800s, valued at USD864 million;
  • Ruili Airlines: Order for six 787-9, valued at USD1.6 billion;
