
CAAC reports 9.2% pax increase to 292.2 million in FY2011; Cargo down 1.8%

CAAC reported (20-Jan-2012) the following traffic highlights for Dec-2011 and 2011:
- Dec-2011:
- Passenger numbers: 23.0 million, +9.2% year-on-year;
- Cargo volume: 499,200 tonnes, -3.4%;
- Domestic: 359,900, +4.1%;
- Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan: 16,000, -17.1%;
- International: 139,300, -18.6%;
- FY2011:
- Passenger numbers: 292.2 million, +9.2%;
- Domestic: 271.2 million, +9.2%;
- Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan: 7.6 million, +12.3%;
- International: 21.0 million, +8.8%;
- Cargo volume: 5.5 million tonnes, -1.8%;
- Domestic: 3.8 million tonnes, +1.6%;
- Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan: 207,300 tonnes, -4.3%;
- International: 1.8 million tonnes, -8.4%.
- Passenger numbers: 292.2 million, +9.2%;
