
China Southern transports 80.5m pax in 2011

China Southern Airlines reported (31-Dec-2011) the following preliminary traffic highlights for the full year 2011:
- Passenger numbers: 80.5 million, +5.3% year-on-year;
- Cargo volume: 1.1 million tonnes, +1.2%;
- Safe flight hours*: 1.5 million hours.
*Including Xiamen Airlines
The carrier stated it remained the largest domestic carrier in China for the 33rd consecutive year in 2011.
