Flybe, in its 3Q2012 (three months ended 31-Dec-2011) trading update, stated (10-Jan-2012) "conditions in the UK domestic market have continued to deteriorate", with the carrier reporting a 6% decrease in domestic traffic year-on-year. Despite this, the carrier maintained yields year-on-year, with the carrier adding that it "believes current market conditions will force further rationalisation of the European regional and short haul airline market, from which Flybe is well positioned to benefit". Full 3Q2012 financial results will be released on 10-Feb-2012. [more - original PR]
