DHL orders four A330-300 freighter conversions from EFW

DHL Express, Airbus and Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) signed (13-Jul-2016) a contract for the conversion of four A330-300 aircraft to 26-pallet freighters with capacity for up to 61 tonnes of payload. DHL is the launch customer for EFW's A330-300P2F conversion programme. The first aircraft will be inducted at EFW's Dresden-based facilities in Jul-2016 and is scheduled for redelivery to DHL by the end of 2017. DHL Express SVP global air fleet management Geoff Kehr said: "The A330-300P2F conversion will address an important requirement within our global aviation fleet for mid-range, high volume cargo aircraft.
