We wish to announce that we have requested for a suspension in the trading of our ordinary shares on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad ("Bursa Securities") with effect from 9:00 a.m. on 15-Sep-2009 to 12.30 p.m. on 15-Sep-2009.
The request for suspension is made under subparagraph 3.1(c) of Practice Note No. 2 on Requests for Suspension of the Listing Requirements of Bursa Securities for the Main Market pending the announcement on the results of the bookbuilding exercise including the price fixing of the new ordinary shares of RM0.10 each in our Company ("AirAsia Shares") pursuant to the private placement of new AirAsia Shares.
