07-Dec-2009 KLM Royal Dutch Airlines began operating thrice-weekly service to Denpasar, Bali, on 6 December. The flights already have proved to be very popular. “We have therefore decided to raise frequency to four weekly flights as of mid-January,” said KLM President & CEO Peter Hartman.

Bali is a popular destination among Dutch holidaymakers. This was reaffirmed when KLM announced in October that it would resume direct services to Bali. In less than two months, more than 17,000 seats were booked.

KLM has operated services to Indonesia for the past 80 years. With the addition of Denpasar to its network, KLM now serves six destinations in South-East Asia. Denpasar is KLM's 61st long-haul destination.
