easyJet to introduce new Edinburgh – Lisbon route

10-Dec-2009 easyJet, the largest UK airline, today announced it will introduce a new route connecting Edinburgh with the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, next Spring. Providing Scottish travelers with an even greater choice of destinations from their local airport.

This new route brings the total number of easyJet routes from Edinburgh International airport to 18. The three times weekly service (Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays) will commence on 4 May 2010 with fares from just £28.99 one way (£53.98 return).

Paul Simmons, easyJet's UK regional general manager, said:

"Today's announcement will further strengthen our position at Edinburgh Airport. Lisbon is a vibrant and historic city, which we expect to be popular as a city break destination as well an important business link.
