23-Mar-2010 Responding to the publication today (Tuesday) of BA's planned flights during next week's four day strike, Tony Woodley, joint general secretary of Unite - the union representing striking BA cabin crew - said: "Passengers will take one look at next weekend's strike schedule and rightly ask what on earth is going on. This schedule has more holes than a Swiss cheese

"Is BA really saying that it would rather hit the travel plans of tens of thousands of people for another weekend than negotiate a settlement?

"Passengers are paying for management machismo. BA management should spend more time on addressing their employees' concerns and less on fantasy schedules sending empty planes to unknown destinations."

Unite says that last weekend's strike was supported by four out of five cabin crew. It also says that BA is relying on the costly purchase of flights from other carriers in order to ferry its passengers, which will result in a substantial loss of revenue for the airline.
