Information for passengers due to travel

Airlines such as Highland Airways are not protected by the ATOL scheme administered by the CAA and passengers booked directly with the company will not be covered.

If passengers paid the airline directly by credit card or means of a LINK debit card they may be protected by Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 or by the card issuer rules. Passengers should check with their card issuer for further advice.

If passengers booked their ticket through a travel agent they should speak to the agent. Some travel insurance covers airline insolvency, passengers should check their policy.
