Indian domestic passengers carried by scheduled airlines in 1Q2010

The total domestic passengers carried by the Scheduled Airlines of India in the first quarter of 2010 - January to March 2010 - was 118.53 lakhs. The break-up is as follows:

Air India (Domestic) - 20.90, Jet Airways -22.16 lakhs, Jet Lite - 8.38 lakhs, Kingfisher - 26.84 lakhs, Spice Jet - 14.28 lakhs, Paramount - 1.84 lakhs, Go Air - 6.37 lakhs, IndiGo - 17.76 lakhs.

It may be recalled that the total domestic passengers carried by the Scheduled Airlines of India in the first quarter of 2009 - January to March 2009 - was 98.22 lakhs. The break-up is as follows:

Air India (Domestic) - 16.70 lakhs, Jet Airways -17.54 lakhs, Jet Lite - 7.22 lakhs, Kingfisher - 26.67 lakhs, Spice Jet - 11.85 lakhs, Paramount - 2.01 lakhs, Go Air - 2.59 lakhs, IndiGo - 13.23 lakhs.

The total domestic passengers carried by the Scheduled Airlines of India in the month of March, 2010 were 39.03 lakhs. The break-up is as follows:

Air India (Domestic) - 6.93 lakhs, Jet Airways -7.39 lakhs, Jet Lite - 2.79 lakhs, Kingfisher - 8.99 lakhs, Spice Jet - 4.63 lakhs, Paramount - 0.50 lakhs, Go Air - 2.06 lakhs, IndiGo -5.74 lakhs.

The percentage share of the carriers in the first quarter of 2010 was:

Air India (Domestic) 17.6%, Jet Airways - 18.7%, Jet Lite - 7.1%, Kingfisher - 22.6%, Spice Jet-12.0%, Paramount - 1.6%, Go Air - 5.4% and IndiGo - 15.0%.

The percentage share of the carriers in the month of March, 2010 was:

Air India (Domestic) - 17.8%, Jet Airways - 18.9%, Jet Lite - 7.1%, Kingfisher - 23.0%, Spice Jet - 11.9%, Paramount - 1.3%, Go Air - 5.3 % and IndiGo - 14.7%.

The seat factor of the domestic airlines in the month of March, 2010 was:

Air India (Domestic) - 66.5%, Jet Airways - 70.3%, JetLite - 72.9%, Kingfisher Airlines - 70.1%, Spice Jet - 73.5%, Paramount Airways - 84.7%, Go Air -70.0% and IndiGo - 74.0%.
