EANS Estonia: Volcanic ash disrupts air traffic – updated

Direct News Source

18-Apr-2010 An Icelandic volcano dormant for centuries erupted in Iceland on Wednesday, sending huge quantities of ash over Europe and disrupting air traffic.

NEW! Estonian airspace is officially closed for IFR (Instrument Flight rules) traffic by Estonian CAA until 15:00 (local time) on Monday April 19 due to the volcanic ash cloud.

Currently there are no restrictions for the visual air traffic; air traffic controllers continue working as usual and the services are provided if necessary.
