Air India to resume flights from/to London subject to clearances

20-Apr-2010 Air India will deploy its aircraft held up at London airport to operate one flight each from London to Delhi and Toronto on April 21, 2010 subject to clearances to fly stranded passengers, following the partial opening of the European air space subject to clearances.

The airline may also operate one flight to London from Mumbai on April 21, 2010. Flight AI 131/130 is expected to depart Mumbai at 0220 hrs and reach London at 0730 hrs. The return flight will leave London at 0945 hrs and arrive in Mumbai at 2330 hrs (all timings local). The airline may also operate a Frankfurt-Delhi flight subject to opening of Frankfurt airport.

Continuing its operations to USA and Canada, Air India will fly to New York, Newark, Chicago and Toronto as under, with a technical halt at Cairo, both on the outbound and inbound legs: AI 101/102 Delhi-New York (JFK)-Delhi -- Departure Delhi 0125 hrs / Arrival JFK 1330 hrs ; Departure JFK 1705 hrs / Arrival Delhi 2110 hrs on April 22, 2010.

AI 141/140 Mumbai-New York (JFK)-Mumbai - Departure Mumbai 0045 hrs/Arrival JFK 1230 hrs ; Departure JFK 1800 hrs / Arrival Mumbai 2155 hrs on April 22, 2010.

AI 187/188 Delhi-Toronto-Delhi - Departure Delhi 0635 hrs / Arrival Toronto 1915 hrs ; Departure Toronto 2330 hrs / Arrival Delhi 0420 hrs on April 23, 2010.

AI 191/144 Ahmedabad-Mumbai-Newark (EWR)-Mumbai - Departure Ahmedabad 0135 hrs / Arrival Mumbai 0240 hrs ; Departure Mumbai 0430 hrs / Arrival Newark 1620 hrs ; Departure Newark 1820 hrs / Arrival Mumbai 2210 hrs on April 22, 2010.

Air India resumed its long haul NonStop flights between India and USA on Sunday, April 18, 2010 with the operation of AI 101/102 (Delhi-New York-Delhi) and AI 141/140 (Mumbai-New York-Mumbai).

Re-booking of stranded passengers

All confirmed passengers on cancelled Air India flights to Europe / US and Canada may rebook with the airline up to May 31, 2010 on which Air India will waive off rebooking charges.
