Plume of volcanic ash continues to affect some Air Astana flights

Direct News Source

20-Apr-2010 As a result of the plume of smoke caused by the volcanic eruptions in Iceland, many European Airports have been closed for operations since 16th April 2010 on safety grounds.

In addition, some air space between Kazakhstan and these European Airports has also closed for navigation.

Therefore, a small number of Air Astana's services since 16th April 2010 have been cancelled. Passengers are requested to refer to Air Astana's online Arrivals and Departures tool to check the latest status of their flights. Affected passengers will be re-booked onto the next scheduled service. Passengers wishing to apply for a refund can do so at Air Astana offices worldwide. For further information contact our 24 hours call centre on +7 727 244 44 77.

Please do not travel to the airport if your flight shows that it has been cancelled at Arrivals and Departures.
