Trans States Holdings buys Compass Airlines

01-Jul-2010 Trans States Holdings, Inc. announced today that the company has purchased Minneapolis-based Compass Airlines, formerly a wholly-owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, Inc.

Under the terms of the purchase, Compass and Delta Air Lines have signed a 10-year agreement for Compass to continue operating as a Delta Connection carrier.

"We are extremely excited and pleased with today's announcement. Compass Airlines has an excellent reputation for providing safe, high quality and reliable airline service. They have provided Delta with outstanding service over the years and we are convinced that their product will only get better as the years go on," said Trans States Holdings President Rick Leach.

Leach went on to say, "Trans States Holdings is also looking forward to the 10-year partnership with Delta Air Lines, the largest airline in the world. This new relationship, along with our other partnerships, positions us very well to take advantage of future opportunities in the regional airline sector."
