Singapore Airlines: Issue of S$500 million 3.22% fixed rate notes due 2020

09-Jul-2010 Singapore Airlines Limited (the “Company”) wishes to announce that further to the Company's announcement dated 29 June 2010 in relation to the issue of notes pursuant to the Programme, the Company has issued S$500 Million Fixed Rate Notes Due 2020 (the “Series 001 Notes”).

Approval in-principle has been granted by the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST") for the listing and quotation of the Series 001 Notes on the SGX-ST. Admission to the Official List of the SGX-ST and quotation of the Series 001 Notes on the SGX-ST is not to be taken as an indication of the merits of the Company, its subsidiary companies, its associated companies, the Programme or the Series 001 Notes. The Notes are expected to be listed on the SGX-ST the following business day.

The issue of the Series 001 Notes is not expected to have a material effect on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the Company and its subsidiaries for the current financial year. None of the Directors and, so far as the Directors are aware, none of the controlling shareholders of the Company, have any interest, direct or indirect, in the issue of the Series 001 Notes, other than potentially as subscribers of the Series 001 Notes.
