23-Jul-2010 The Spirit Airlines pilots, represented by the Airline Pilots Association, International (ALPA), today voted to ratify the tentative agreement on a new contract reached between the airline and ALPA on June 16, 2010.

The new contract, which has a five-year term, features substantial pay increases for the pilots, as well as material improvements in flexibility of work rules.

"We are pleased to have reached a stable and mutually beneficial agreement that will support continued growth for the company and provide improved pay and benefits for our valued pilots, while at the same time allowing Spirit to continue offering ultra low fares for our customers," said Ben Baldanza, Spirit President and CEO.
