President of the European Council expresses his condolences

Herman VAN ROMPUY, President of the European Council, expresses his condolences following the air disaster in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Herman Van ROMPUY, President of the European Council, made the following statement today concerning the plane crash near Islamabad (Pakistan):

"I am saddened at the tragic plane crash this morning near Islamabad in which so many people perished. I wish to convey to your Government, and to the people of the Pakistan, my deepest condolences and sympathy."
