BA/AA/IB Trans-Atlantic joint venture

13-Aug-2010 The U.S Dept of Transportation (DOT) and the European Commission (EC) have granted anti-trust immunity to the Trans-Atlantic joint venture among American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia subject to the release of London slot pairs on selected UK-US markets.

By way of a remedy for the competition concerns raised by the EC and DOT, the parties should make available LHR (or LGW if requested) slot pairs for competing carriers to operate London to Boston (2 x daily), Dallas (1 x daily), and Miami (1 x daily) from Summer 2011.
