GCAA: Suspicious cargo shipment Seized in Dubai International Airport

30-Oct-2010 The UAE,General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced that the package which was discovered in Dubai International Airport on 29 October 2010 was shipped from Sanaa, Yemen on board a Qatar Airways plane heading to Doha and then forwarded from that flight to Dubai.
The package was seized in Dubai International Airport after the authorities grew suspicious about.
Laboratory tests confirmed that the package contained explosive substances.
The UAE is coordinating with competent authorities in other countries about the package and circumstances surrounding it.
