Singapore Tourism: Tourism sector performance for Sep-2010

· Visitor arrivals to Singapore registered 18.4% growth to reach 947,000 in September 2010, the highest number of arrivals received in the month of September. This also marks the tenth consecutive month of record visitor arrivals. This month's visitor arrivals can be partly attributed to the hosting of the FORMULA 1 SINGTEL SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX, the world's only FORMULA ONE night race and the draw of the many leisure and entertainment events under the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2010.

· 12 out of the top 15 markets registered positive year-on-year growth in September this year.

· In September 2010, South Korea (+63.2%), Malaysia (+40.2%), and Vietnam (+38.9%) registered their highest growth out of the top 15 markets.
