The situation at Polish airports

20-Dec-2010 No problems with air traffic caused by weather conditions at the Polish airports have been perceived according to information from PANSA operation services.

Flight cancellations or delays are caused by factors caused outside the Polish airspace (FIR Warsaw).

Today on 20th December huge snowfalls are expected. First, snowfalls are expected for North and East Poland. Snow also turning to sleet is predicted for Center Poland and rain is predicted for the West.

Expected snowfalls and local rains and sleets are not threat for air traffic. Difficulties caused by runways and taxiways snow removal may appear. Also aircrafts de-icing before take-off is necessary.
