Delayed baggage delivery for TAROM flights disrupted during 17 - 22-Dec-2010

Direct News Source

23-Dec-2010 TAROM informs its passengers about long baggage delays recorded for those who travelled on TAROM flights, between 17th to 22nd of December 2010, to and from Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Paris and London, following the disruption of air traffic due to severe weather conditions in North-Western Europe.

The disruption in flight operations has delayed the baggage delivery service, because of the difficulties experienced on the airports mentioned in identifying all the baggage.

TAROM assures its passengers that all its efforts are directed to ensure all missing baggage are delivered as quickly as possible to their owners. Nevertheless, we estimate that the waiting period may exceed 7 days, as tens of thousands of baggage are yet to be identified and sorted on the airports affected by severe weather conditions during 17 - 22 December, 2010.

As the baggage on these airports will be sorted and shipped to Bucharest, passengers will be contacted by TAROM representatives to determine how they may return into their possession. Passengers can choose either to have their baggage delivered to a specified address or to personally come at the "Henri Coanda" Airport Bucharest in order to pick up their baggage.
