1-Mar-2011 JSC ‘Aeroflot - Russian Airlines’ summed up results for January 2011.

In January 2011 the passenger turnover of the company went up by 19.2% against the same period a year ago and totaled in 2,894.8 mln passenger-kilometres. The highest growth (+24.1%) is detected at international flights with the passenger turnover making 2,132.3 mln passenger-kilometres. The domestic traffic reached 762.5 mln passenger-kilometres which is +7.5% if compared to 2010.

The number of transported passengers improved by 16.3% coming to 912.7 ths passengers. The international traffic rose by 20.2% (plus 102.6 ths passengers) hitting 610.5 ths passengers. The domestic lines served 302.2 ths passengers which plus 9.2% (25.5 ths passengers) against 2010. The seat load factor in January reached 71.9% that 1.0 percent point higher than a year ago. The commercial neared 56.9% that is + 1.3 percent point when compared to 2010.

Mail-cargo tonnage demonstrated 3.8 times rise against the 2010 parameter and equaled 2,896.0 tonnes. The tones/kilometers rate lifted by 3.9 times (in comparison with January 2010 and totaled in 19,900 ths tones-kilometres.
