27-Apr-2011 A section of pilots of Air India struck work from early hours of today. The Management has mustered all available resources to minimize the impact on the scheduled operations. While some flights from the major metro cities have been affected, most of our flights have however operated.

While there have been cancellations, the airlines has also combined flights to keep up operations. The airline is making every possible effort to maintain normalcy in operations and ensure the highest standards of service to our valued passengers.

In the event of flight disruptions / Cancellation / Combination or delay of more than one hour full refund would be effected to the passengers, irrespective of the fare rules governing the issuance of the ticket held by the passenger. Air India has also decided that no penalties would be levied on tickets refunded / re-validated / re-issued / re-booked on a subsequent flight, due flight disruptions / cancellation / Combination/Over-flying/delay of more than one hour.

In this context, the Management regrets the inconveniences caused to the passengers due to the dislocated operations.

In this hour of crisis, the Management earnestly appeals to all sections of employees to join hands to strengthen the airline and maintain high performance.

Air India, as befits its role of a National Carrier, is committed to ensuring that genuine aspirations of all sections of the employees will be met. The Company has a well-established system of dealing with any grievance - be it of an individual employee or groups of employees.
