The prognosis for the night shows low density concentration ash in Swedish airspace. Tomorrow morning there could be some medium density concentration of ash reaching Sweden from the west above mid Norrland. Concerned passengers are requested to contact their airline company.

LFV follows the operative routines stated if the ash cloud should affect air traffic in Sweden. We do this in cooperation with the Swedish Transport Agency who sets the rules and regulations for Swedish airspace. LFV also cooperates together with other providers and agencies in Europe.

The reports are based on Volcanic Ash Advisory Centre in London and their prognoses issued every sixth hour and also synchronised with the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute.

Our aim is, just like in 2010 and the vulcanic eruption at that time, to keep as large part of air traffic running as possible within current regulations.
