Direct News Source

20-Jun-2011 LOT Polish Airlines is resuming services to Beirut, Damascus and Cairo, but with fewer flights than in the spring.

The airline suspended its operations to the Middle East in May following the political unrest in the region. Now that the situation has calmed down, LOT has decided to reintroduce the routes, although with fewer services than before due to lower demand.

Flights to Beirut will resume from 25 June and will continue until the end of September (excluding 24/25 August, 7/8 September and 17/18 September).

The Warsaw-Cairo route will be reinstated on 2 July, with services running until 27 October (except 17/18, 21/22, 24/25 and 28/29 September and 10/11, 12/13, 19/20 and 24/25 October).

LOT will also operate 10 flights to Damascus, on 21/22 and 28/29 June, 30 June/1 July, 7/8, 14/15 and 24/25 July, as well as in August on 11/12, 14/15 and 23/24th.

All the reinstated flights have already been added to the airline's reservation system.\
