Strengthening Russian Aviation - IATA Celebrates 15 Years in Russia
20-Jun-2011 The International Air Transport Association (IATA) praised the Government of Russia for progress made in aviation and encouraged the Russian Minister of Transport, Igor Levitin, to take further action on three critical issues: (1) ensuring that the Russian fleet complies with standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), (2) becoming more vocal in opposing Europe’s plans to include international aviation in its emissions trading scheme, and (3) eliminating discriminatory pricing for airport and air navigation service charges.
