02-Jul-2011 Qantas will offer special fares to passengers affected by the suspension of Tiger Airways domestic Australian services to minimise the impact on their travel plans.

Qantas will assist affected passengers by accommodating them on available flights where possible to help many Australians looking to travel during the school holidays.

Qantas will also monitor the need to schedule additional services.

The following fares will apply for Tiger passengers booked to travel in the next seven days (from Saturday 2 July until 0600 Saturday 9 July 2011). These fares are subject to availability:

TO/FROM TO/FROM FARE
Melbourne Adelaide $110
Melbourne Hobart $114
Melbourne Sydney $117
Melbourne Canberra $120
Melbourne Brisbane $156
Melbourne Perth $257
Sydney Brisbane $117
Sydney Adelaide $152

Above fares include a meal or refreshment, inflight entertainment and a checked baggage allowance of one piece of luggage up to 23 kilograms.

Fares will be available to be booked via Qantas Contact Centres, Retail Offices and Qantas Service Desks at Airports.

Passengers are required to show their Tiger itinerary for travel (between Saturday 2 July 2011 and 0600 on Saturday 9 July 2011) at a Qantas Service Desk or Retail Office. When booking via Qantas Contact Centres, Tiger customers will be required to quote their booking reference/confirmation number in order to access the fare.

Where possible, Qantas will seek to accommodate affected passengers on the next available direct flight to their destination.

These special fares will not be available via Qantas.com.
