Indonesia’s closure of Yogyakarta Adisucipto International Airport due to the eruption of Mount Merapi is estimated to have lost the region’s tourism industry IDR17 million (USD1880) per day (Xinhua, 30-Nov-2010). The airport was closed for a week.
