Iran Air notes culture of partnerships; ground is paved for more partnerships

Iran Air member of board and CCO Mohammed Reza Khoshnevisan, at the CAPA Iran Aviation Finance Summit, stated (18-Sep-2016) there is a culture of partnerships in Iran Air and the "ground is paved already" for more partnerships with other airlines. Iran interlines with large numbers of European carriers, codeshares with Turkish Airlines, Aeroflot, Austrian Airlines and Azerbaijan Airlines, despite difficulties such as being suspended from IATA clearing house and BSP. Mr Khoshnevisan added that "changes are happening very slowly since the end of sanctions" and suppliers still don't feel confident in dealing with Iran Air. There is ongoing uncertainty about whether there will be penalties from the US in dealing with Iranian companies and organisations.
