Jetstar Japan receives AOC, prepares for first commercial service in Jul-2012

Jetstar stated (06-Apr-2012) Jetstar Japan received its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) from Japan's MLIT on 06-Apr-2012. The AOC signifies approval of Jetstar's operating policies and procedures to deliver domestic services in Japan. It includes the airline's approach to cabin services, ground operations, engineering, safety and customer service. "This approval means we're on track to start flying five months ahead of schedule, making it easier for people in Tokyo, Okinawa, Osaka, Sapporo and Fukuoka to connect," said Jetstar Japan CEO Miyuki Suzuki. Jetstar is now preparing for the commencement of flight operations, expected to occur during May-2012 prior to the launch of its first commercial service on 03-Jul-2012. [more - original PR]
