OpenSkies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of British Airways that operates all-business class services from Paris Orly to the US, has suspended its Washington Dulles services, according to the Washington Business Journal. The airline launched the route in 2010. OpenSkies continues to operate Paris Orly-Newark service.
"The economic situation with business travel continues to be difficult, particularly on the trans-Atlantic market with all the capacity being flown between the US and Paris," said OpenSkies' commercial and marketing director David Erich. "If we sense that the economic or competitive situation changes, we could be looking at coming back," he said. OpenSkies previously suspended flights to New York JFK, as well as flights from Amsterdam.
