Sydney Airport reports another record year in 2015

Sydney Airport CEO Kerrie Mather said (20-Jan-2016) 2015 was another record year for the airport, with a 3.0% year-on-year passenger growth to 39.7 million. Domestic passengers increased 2.3% and international passengers increased 4.3%. She commented: "Strong foreign nationality demand continues to drive international passenger growth (+9.7%), with Chinese (+31.4%), UK (+10.0%), US (+11.9%), Korean (+18.2%), Indian (+21.6%) and Singaporean (+20.4%) nationalities performing well." Australian outbound also grew strongly above trend, increasing 7.6%. The best performing outbound destinations were Philippines (+45.0%), UAE (+10.0%), New Zealand (+6.7%), Canada (+17.3%), Indonesia (+6.2%) and Hong Kong (+6.4%). [more - original PR]
