Wizz Air to grow at 15% p/a until 2024

Wizz Air announced (25-May-2016) it expects to grow at a rate of 15% p/a until 2024, with the forecast driven by fleet expansion plans. Wizz Air expects a total of 30 A321ceo aircraft to be added to its fleet by the end of 2018. By the end of the 2016 calendar year, the carrier expects to deploy 11 A321ceos. In addition to the A321ceo deliveries, Wizz Air signed a new purchase agreement in 2015 for the purchase of 110 A321neo aircraft. Deliveries of A321neos commence in 2019 and will continue until the end of 2024. The purchase agreement includes uncommitted purchase rights for 90 additional A321neo aircraft as well as certain flexibility for conversion to the A320neos. On the basis of the carrier's current order book, its fleet will reach close to 160 aircraft in 2024, double the current fleet size.
