Island Air was a regional carrier based in Hawaii, USA. The carrier operated scheduled services throughout the state of Hawaii from its hubs at Honolulu International Airport, Oahu and Kahului International Airport, Maui. Founded in 1980, the carrier operated services for larger carriers including Hawaiian Airlines and United Airlines utilising turboprop equipment. Island Air was owned by Ohana Airline Holdings LLC, PaCap Aviation Finance and Malama Investments. In Oct-2017, Island Air filed for Chapter 11 reorganisation bankruptcy. In Nov-2017, the airline advised it is no longer accepting new reservations after suspending operations on 10-Nov-2017.
