About
Joy Luzhou Airlines was a start-up regional carrier to be based in Luzhou. Joy Air Holdings and Luzhou City Government entered an agreement to jointly establish the carrier, with CNY10 billion (USD166.7 million) registered capital. Joy Air planned to hold a majority a stake in the start-up, scheduled to launch in late 2016. The new carrier aimed to operate domestic-manufactured regional equipment, including MA600 and MA700 variants, and aimed to have a fleet of 20 aircraft. A revised launch date has not been advised, it is assumed that the carrier has abandoned plans to launch operations.
