AENA Internacional is a subsidiary of the Madrid, Spain-based state-owned airports operator that is the world’s largest. AENA Internacional has numerous contracts and investments mainly in Latin America:
- 40% of Aeropuertos del Caribe SA, manager of Barranquilla Airport in Colombia;
- Manages Cali and Cartagena airports in Colombia;
- Owns 25% share of consortium that acquired 15% stake in Grupo Aeroportuario Pacifico (GAP) in Mexico (12 airports) in the first concession contracts;
- Manages Jardines del Rey Airport, Cayo Coco, Cuba, on five-year contract;
- Owns 10% of ACDL (q.v.)
30% of AENA parent company is to be privatised.
