Aéroports de Paris (AdP) builds, develops and manages airports including Paris Charles de Gaulle, Paris Orly and Paris Le Bourget. In Jul-2005, Aéroports de Paris was converted into a public limited company in order to boost its growth. AdP was partially privatised by IPO in 2006. It has an 8% cross-shareholding with Schiphol Group.
AdP is active as an airport designer, manager and investor for many years through subsidiaries AdPI (Ingenieur/Engineer) and AdPM (Management), mainly in francophone countries, the Middle East and SE Asia.
Snapshot of AdP company investments and management contracts:
- Cameroon – 35% stake in Aéroports du Caméroun;
- Madagascar – 34% stake in Aéroports du Madagascar;
- Guinea – 29% stakeholder partnership in SOGEAC, which runs Conakry Airport under a five-year contract;
- Cambodia – Majority partner in CAMS (60%), which runs Phnom Penh and Siem Reap airports, also provides ground handling. (Vinci is a major investor at these airports);
- Belgium – 25% stake in SAB SA, operator of Liège Airport, which specialises in freight;
- Mexico – 25.5% stake through OMA in Grupo Centro Norte
- Egypt – operates Mersa Alam airport since 2001 and Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor, Asswan and Abu Simbel airports since Feb-05 for six years (no investment)
- Vatry Airport, France – 23.2% stake in consortium SEVE
- Saudi Arabia - USD140 million contract to help develop Saudi Arabia's King Abdulaziz Airport.
