Originally set up with assistance from Vienna International Airport as TEPE Akfen VIE Investment, TAV now operates all Istanbul Ataturk Airport’s terminals, with a BOT contract on the International terminal.
TAV also has BOT/management contracts on terminals at Ankara, Izmir, Tbilisi (Georgia) and Batumi (Georgia) airports. It won contract to build Cairo Airport T3 in 2004 and has construction projects in Doha and Dubai and is now turning its attention to North Africa (as TAV Tunisia, taking over the management of Monastir Habib Bourgiba International Airport at the beginning of Jan-2008 and constructing a new airport at Enfidha) and also Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
It won the contract to manage two Macedonian airports (Skopje and Ohrid) and to build a third (Stip) and was short-listed for the PPP contract at St Petersburg. TAV also won contract to manage and develop Riga Aiport, Latvia, subsequently cancelled by Latvian government.
TAV Airports (TAV Holdings) features in CAPA's Global Airport Investors Database.
