Antalya Airport

Antalya Airport serves the city of Antalya, a major tourist destination on Turkey's Mediterranean coast. The airport handled nearly 19 million passengers in 2008, more than 16 million of which were international passengers. The construction of Alanya Gazipa?a Airport, about 100km from the Antalya is expected to ease the traffic burden on Antalya Airport.

If accurate, this development is a natural extension of recent privatisation activity, the most notable of which has been the St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport PPP project, which reached financial closure in Jun-2010.
