NATS provides air traffic control services to aircraft flying in UK airspace, and over the eastern part of the North Atlantic. Safety is NATS’ first and foremost priority and it also aims to provide services in an efficient and cost-effective way. NATS Services, the commercial business of the NATS group, works with airports, air navigation service providers and other customers from around the world to design, implement and manage air traffic management solutions. NATS (En Route) plc is best known for its 'en route' air traffic control business which is operated under a licence issued by the Secretary of State for Transport and economically and safety regulated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
