Nicaragua
Nicaragua is a central American country with Managua as its capital city. The vast majority of aviation activity is concentrated at Managua Augusto C. Sandino International Airport. The airport is a base for pan-Central American airline TACA, and is also extensively served by Copa Airlines. Major US airlines also have a presence at Managua. Due to the size of Nicaragua, domestic travel in Nicaragua is mostly handled by the country's surface transportation system. TACA Regional, or La Costeña, operates to several domestic destinations from Managua.
