The company served every major and developing commercial aviation market around the globe from its Dublin headquarters and offices in New York, Miami, and Singapore. For over 27 years AWAS provided scalable and competitive aviation finance solutions to airlines worldwide. Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) Ltd signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the AWAS group of companies from funds managed by Terra Firma Capital Partners and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board. The combined company will have an owned, managed and committed aircraft fleet of 394 aircraft with a total value of over USD14 billion. DAE closed the transaction on 20-Aug-2017.
