Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited ("HAECO") is a leading third-party MRO provider based in Hong Kong. Swire Pacific is the majority owner, with a 61% stake in the company. HAECO comprises a number of direct subsidiaries, the largest of which include Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co Ltd ("TAECO") and Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Ltd. ("HAESL"). It has 19 widebody and 10 narrowbody bays in 4 locations: Hong Kong International Airport; Tseung Kwan O; Xiamen; and Jinan. It offers a broad range of services, including airframe heavy maintenance, line maintenance, component overhaul, inventory technical management services and passenger-to-freighter conversions.
It reported the following highlights in 2009:
- Revenue: HKD4,045 million, -17.5%
- EBT: HKD380 million, -62.6%
- Employees: 12,615, -1.0%
