Japanese Aero Engines Corporation (JAEC) is a Tokyo-based consortium of Japanese industrial corporations including Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries which partnered with Rolls-Royce in the 1970s to design and manufacture aircraft engines. JAEC has a 23% equity stake in International Aero Engines consortium, which manufactures the IAE V2500 turbofan for Airbus A320-family aircraft.
