Part of the Swire Group of companies, Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (TAECO) is the mainland China subsidiary of Hong Kong-based MRO provider HAECO. TAECO is 58.55%-owned by HAECO and is an MRO provider based at Xiamen's Gaoqi International Airport. TAECO specialises in MRO services for Boeing 737, 757 and 747 aircraft and is one of the largest heavy maintenance aircraft sites in the world. TAECO is the only independent maintenance facility licensed by Boeing to carry out 747-400 conversions from passenger or combi to Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) configuration.
TAECO is majority-owned by HAECO, with Cathay Pacific, JAL, Boeing, Xiamen City and CAAC holding the remaining equity.
