08-Jan-2010 International passenger numbers to, from and within the Arab world marked a growth of 5.4% in November 2009 compared to November 2008, noting that international passenger numbers within the Arab world increased by 15.6%, and by 2.3% to and from the region.

On the other hand, the Arab airlines increased the number of their offered seats to, from, & within the Arab world by 25.5%, while other airlines increased the number of seats offered by 11.6%, leading to 21.1% year-on-year increase in the total number of seats offered.

Based on international offered seats to, from, and within the Arab world for the week 8-14 November 2009, the following five airports led the region's airports in terms of total seats offered: DXB, JED, DOH, CAI, and RUH, while LHR, CDG, BOM, and ORY showed within the top 20 airports. On the other hand, the busiest market in terms of International offered seats by airlines operating to, from, and within the Arab world was DXB-KWI, followed by DOH-DXB, and DXB-LHR respectively.
