Republic announces Jan-2010 traffic highlights
Republic Airways Holdings (NASDAQ: RJET), today reported preliminary passenger traffic results for January 2010. The Company generated 1.52 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs), a 119% increase from the same month last year, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 102%. Block hours were 83,557 in January 2010, a 39% increase from January 2009. Consolidated load factor was 68% versus 63% in January 2009. More than 2.2 million passengers were carried during the month, a 66% increase from the same month last year. As a reminder, the 2009 results do not include operations at Midwest Airlines and Frontier Airlines which were purchased by the Company in July 2009 and October 2009, respectively.
